Hello!
Maxim Healthcare is assisting an esteemed facility in Alameda, CA with a Nephrologist need.
Position Highlights:
* Pending start of 3/4/24
* Contract length 26wks w/options for ext.
* Inpatient need is M-F, 8a-5p day shifts in-house + night call and weekends. Will also usually do 1-2 outpatient clinics per week. Looking for 15 inpatient shifts/month to be covered by locums. Night call and weekend call required. Call is taken remotely from home.
* Outpatient need is 4-6 clinic half-days per week, 4 hours in the morning or 4 hours in the afternoon.
Work Details:
· Support staff: There’s an NP who helps 3-4 days/week + residents who rotate.
· Patients per day: census is generally around 12, but can get up to 22 (on a very busy day)
· Patient population/age: all ages
· EMR: Epic
· Special procedures: consults only, no procedures required
Requirements:
· Board Certification: must be board certified/board eligible in nephrology
· Active CA license
· DEA
· CSR
· Minimum experience required: new grads accepted, but must have recent and relevant nephrology experience
