Carilion Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join a well-established group of six rheumatologists in an university based academic practice located in Roanoke, Virginia. The practice sees a wide variety of rheumatological cases and offers full-spectrum state-of-the-art investigational, diagnostic and treatment services. The practice includes a Lupus clinic as well as an USS guided procedure clinic.
Responsibilities would include providing ambulatory care in the out-patient clinic as well as consultative services to hospital patients. This position also provides the teaching opportunities to learners at various stages of medical training including medical students, IM/FCM residents, rheumatology fellows and fellows from other specialties on rheumatology elective.
An Academic appointment with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine is available and strongly encouraged for all faculty.
The position also offers the opportunity for involvement with GME both within the division and the hospital system to the right candidate, and the ideal candidate will be as involved as able with the rheumatology fellowship program [Register to View] Faculty development is encouraged, and the division will provide mentorship and growth opportunities from within and systemwide.
Practice Highlights:4.5 day (90% clinical) per week work week
