Transplant Nephrologist/Medical Director Employment Position in Capital City of West Virginia

We are seeking an experienced full-time board certified/ABMS board eligible transplant nephrologist who has also completed (or in process) an AST-accredited Transplant Nephrology Fellowship. The candidate will join our Kidney Transplant Center to meet the growing needs of the program. The hospitals kidney transplant was established in 1987 in affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic and performs greater than 60 transplants per year and over 1,500 in the history of the program. The hospitals transplant program is ranked in the top 10 in the country for transplant rate and offers expert, high-quality personalized treatment for patients with advanced kidney disease. The transplant center is certified by Medicare and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) to transplant kidney for adults. Our staff is comprised of a collaborative team of transplant surgeons, certified clinical transplant coordinators, pharmacist, social worker, financial coordinator, and dietitian. The candidate will be responsible for living donor evaluation, transplant candidate evaluation, post kidney transplant care, participation in transplant program leadership/development, patient selection, QAPI, and research initiatives.
