Seeking Neonatologist for Hybrid Academic NICU in Development at NOVA Southeastern University! Building bridges between clinical medicine, education, and research!

Envision Physician Services is seeking a board eligible or board certified Neonatologist to join our team at Plantation General Hospital with long-term plans to move to the NOVA Southeastern University Campus where the NICU will become the focal point of all pediatric research. This partnership between Envision Physician Services and HCA Healthcare will be a catalyst for research, education, and cross-divisional collaboration. Our team will play an integral role in development of these partnerships and the overall creation of this hybrid academic NICU.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Staffing Model: 5 Neonatologists, 2 APPs
  • Schedule:
    • ​Schedule will be dynamic and flexible based on team’s overall needs
    • Focus on work/life balance
    • 5-week rotation (to start)
      • Week 1 – Mon-Thu 9-hr Days; Sun 24
      • Week 2 - Off
      • Week 3 – Mon, Wed 15-hr Nights; Sat 24
      • Week 4 – Mon-Thu 4-hr Days; Fri 24
      • Week 5 – Tue, Thu 15-hr Nights
    • Consecutive Day & Rotating Night shifts to optimize continuity of care
    • In-house APP coverage during the day (12-hrs) with long-term plans to go to 24/7 APP coverage
  • Clinical Coverage includes:
    • Attendance at high-risk deliveries
    • ​​Care of some newborns
    • Level II/III NICU patients
  • Facility Information:
    • Plantation General Hospital (Level III)
      • Deliveries: 2,000
      • 31-beds
