Envision Physician Services is seeking a Board Certified Neonatologist for our Level II (soon to be Level III) NICU practice at Summerville Medical Center (SMC) in Summerville, SC.

Details of the position/facility are listed below:

  • Staffing Model: 2 Neonatologists, 3 NNP's (After hours: 16 hour shifts)
  • Schedule: Alternating Schedule (Off 6-months out of the year)
    • In-house during the day with call from home at night
    • Physician to round in the neonatal unit and NNP rounds in newborn nursery.
    • NICU beds: 16; NBN beds: 30
  • Plans to transition to a Level III NICU with 24-hour NNP coverage in the near future.
    • 2023 Deliveries: 2,712
    • NICU ADC: 10 (2024 YTD through Feb)
    • NBN ADC: 4.6 (2024 YTD through Feb)
  • Growing and expanding Womens and Childrens medical serivices at Summerville Medical Center that service the busiest Pediatric Emergency Room in SC, and is staffed with dedicated Pediatric EM trained physicians. Availability of a variety Pediatric subspecialty support includes Pediatric Surgery, GI, Pediatric Anesthesia, Radiology, with telemedicine coverage for Pediatric Cardiology.
