Coverage Needed
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing
- Schedule: Day coverage from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM; Night coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Clinical Details
- 40-bed Level III NICU
- Staffing Model: 6 full-time Neonatologists
- Day coverage: 2 Neonatologists
- Night coverage: 1 in-house Neonatologist
- Transport: Nurse-driven team with physician oversight (avg. 15 transports/year)
- Procedures & Services: High-frequency ventilation (HFOV & HFJV), Inhaled nitric oxide, Therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG, Pediatric surgical patients
- No ECMO or cardiac surgery (except PDA ligations)
- NICU Admissions: 130 (YTD through April 2025)
- NICU Average Daily Census (ADC): 14.3
- Nursery ADC: 24.2
Requirements
- Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required
- Cannot accept providers who have not been clinically active for 1 year
- Providers must have at least 6 months of clinical experience within the specialty
- VA license required
- Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month)
- CV must be in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained
