Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to provide in-house coverage for a Level IV NICU. The provider will care for newborns in a high-acuity environment with an average census of about 14 infants. Coverage will primarily take place with shifts including day, night, and 24-hour options.

Setting: In-house hospital coverage (Level IV NICU)

Average Daily Census: ~14 babies
Weekday Shifts

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Day Shift)

Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 AM (Night Shift)

Monday–Friday: 24-hour shift (combining day and night)
Weekend Shifts

Friday 3:00 PM – Saturday 9:00 AM

Saturday 9:00 AM – Sunday 9:00 AM

Sunday 9:00 AM – Monday 9:00 AM
Job Details / Responsibilities

Provide in-house neonatology coverage in a Level IV NICU environment

Manage care for critically ill and premature newborns

Participate in 24-hour call coverage when scheduled

Perform intubation procedures (no NP/PA coverage; neonatologist performs airway procedures)

Work in a community hospital setting with direct physician management

Potential option to perform moderate sedation procedures (requires exam if participating)

ECMO not required; facility does not provide ECMO services
Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certification in Neonatology – Required

Active California Medical License – Required (IMLC not accepted)

Recent Neonatology clinical experience within the past 12 months – Required

Level IV NICU experience – Required

Completed Prescreen Questionnaire – Required

Self-Query NPDB report (dated within the past month) – Required

Updated CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained – Required
