We are currently seeking a skilled Locum Physician to provide specialized maternal-fetal healthcare services on a temporary basis. This role offers you the chance to work with a compassionate team in a high-volume practice, supporting women through high-risk pregnancies, while enjoying competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Required Skills:
- Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Proficiency in procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and managing high-risk pregnancies
- Strong clinical skills in managing complex maternal and fetal conditions including pre-eclampsia, growth restrictions, chromosomal abnormalities, and genetic disorders
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC or Viewpoint
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers
- Familiarity with ultrasound-guided procedures
- Ability to handle a high patient volume efficiently
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Active US medical license in Virginia or readiness to obtain one
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar environment
- Prior experience in high-risk pregnancy management and ultrasound is highly valued
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing process completion within approximately 90 days
- Ability to work these specific coverage dates: 05/08-05/15, 05/16-05/22, 05/26-05/31 (dates flexible based on staffing needs)
- Willingness to travel to Midlothian, VA; facility reimburses flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS rates
- Certification in BLS and ACLS preferred
