Locum - Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine Richmond, VA

Join a dynamic team as a licensed Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist in Richmond, VA, and play a vital role in managing complex high-risk pregnancies in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. This locum opportunity offers flexible scheduled dates to accommodate your availability, with the chance to impact patient care in a thriving healthcare setting. Be part of a dedicated team providing expert care to women with diverse obstetric needs, utilizing advanced ultrasound technology and a collaborative support staff.

Required Skills:
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure
  • Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with subspecialty certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Proven experience in high-risk obstetric management, including procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage placement
  • Strong competency in managing high-risk pregnancies, fetal anomalies, and maternal co-morbidities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency with EPIC and VIEWPOINT EMR systems

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with ultrasound-guided procedures beyond standard Fetal Medicine practices
  • Familiarity with genetic counseling integration
  • Previous locum or temporary coverage experience in hospital and outpatient settings

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Minimum of 2 years of high-risk obstetric care experience in a clinical setting

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to start on 03/06/2026, with credentialing approximately 90 days
  • Travel expenses, including flight, hotel, rental car, or mileage, reimbursed per IRS standards
  • Must adhere to all hospital credentialing and credentialing processes
