We are seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Neonatologist for an exciting locum opportunity in Southfield, Michigan. This role offers the chance to work in a Level III NICU providing critical newborn care in a collaborative hospital setting.

๐ถ Clinical Responsibilities
-
Provide in-house NICU coverage overnight
-
Attend high-risk deliveries and C-sections
-
Manage neonatal admissions and ongoing care
-
Stabilize and coordinate neonatal transfers when necessary
-
Monitor and treat critically ill newborns
-
Collaborate with NICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and pediatric specialists
-
Document patient care in the EMR system

15-bed unit
-
Average admissions: 0โ4 per day

Average daily census: ~12 patients

Team includes multiple full-time and contingent neonatologists

Reason for coverage: Physician resignation

In-house call required, including weekends

Emergency / temporary privileges available

Mileage reimbursement available for local providers
โ Requirements
-
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neonatology

Neonatology Fellowship required
-
Active Michigan medical license
-
BLS and NRP certifications
-
Clean background and malpractice history
-
NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days)

Must currently work or have recently worked in a Level III or IV NICU

Local providers preferred
