Henry Ford Health - Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Neonatologist to provide locum tenens coverage following the resignation of an existing provider. This is an urgent, long-term need with consistent monthly shifts available.
Assignment Details

Level III NICU

15-bed NICU
-
Average census: ~12 patients/day
-
Average admissions: 0–4/day
-
Coverage timeframe: 3/24/2026 – 12/31/2026- with the option to extend

Shifts per month: 4–6 shifts
-
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, in-house call

Clinical Responsibilities
-
Attend C-sections
-
Manage and stabilize neonates in a Level III NICU
-
Coordinate and perform neonatal transfers
-
No coverage of Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery required
Team & Environment

Neonatology group includes:

3 full-time physicians
-
2 part-time physicians
-
4 contingent providers
-
-
EMR: Cerner / eCare / PowerChart
-
Trauma Level: III
Candidate Requirements (REQUIRED)
-
MD or DO
-
Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Neonatology
-
Fellowship-trained in Neonatology
-
Active Michigan medical license (license in hand)
-
Must be currently working (or have worked within the last 3 months) in a Level III or IV NICU
-
BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
-
Clean background
-
Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the last month at time of presentation)
-
Ability to work 4–6 night shifts per month
-
Local providers strongly preferred
-
Lodging and Mileage reimbursement available (if applicable)

Credentialing & Logistics
-
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days

Site has an urgent need and is requesting temporary coverage/ privileges
