Permanent – Physician – Neonatology – Elmira, NY
Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Neonatology
Location: Elmira, NY
Shift: 24-hour in-house shifts
- Patient Population: Neonatal (Level III NICU)
- Setting: Hospital-based NICU
- Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive neonatal care, attend high-risk deliveries, manage critically ill newborns, collaborate with NNPs and MFM team, follow evidence-based clinical guidelines, participate in transports and NICU coverage
- Required Procedures: Conventional ventilation, HFOV, neonatal resuscitation, high-risk newborn management
- EMR System: Not specified
- Support Staff: 24-hour in-house NNP coverage, strong NICU nursing team, pediatric subspecialty consult support, MFM services
- Days Per Month: 8 block-scheduled 24-hour shifts per month (FTE)
- On-Call/Weekends: None (coverage included within 24-hour shifts)
Submission Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- New York license (or willing to obtain)
- DEA (prior to start)
- NPDB Self Query (within 30 days)
- Must state visa requirement status (J1/H1B)
