Neonatologist
Locations: Las Cruces, NM | Odessa, TX | Tyler, TX
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join a growing and collaborative neonatal care team. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a modern 12-bed Level II NICU that is advancing to Level III, offering high-quality care in a supportive, team-based environment.
The role features a flexible schedule, with clinical responsibilities covering approximately half the month, and includes 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) coverage within a two-Neonatologist care model.
Job Responsibilities
Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation when required
Collaborate closely with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, obstetricians, pediatricians, and nursing staff
Participate in the ongoing development and advancement of the NICU from Level II to Level III
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and evidence-based practices
Communicate effectively with families regarding patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols as needed
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
Eligible for or able to obtain medical licensure in New Mexico and/or Texas
Neonatal resuscitation certification (NRP)
Strong clinical skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered neonatal care
