Neonatology Physician Opportunity - Cedar Rapids Cedar Rapids, Iowa Seeking a Neonatology Physician to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Our NICU provides care to term and preterm newborn infants in an advanced 22-bed AAP Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Position Details

Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to neonatal inpatients Offer neonatal consultation services, including: - Newborn nursery - Inpatient pediatrics - Emergency department - Labor and delivery - Referring institutions Perform procedures such as: - Lumbar puncture - Endotracheal intubation - Umbilical line placement Communicate effectively with caregivers Maintain timely and accurate documentation (NeoData, Epic) Participate in teaching and development of nursing and ancillary staff: - STABLE - NRP - Bedside teaching - Educational conferences Contribute to unit practice improvement: - VON quality collaboratives - Journal clubs - Division meetings - Protocol writing and review Collaborate as a team member to improve community health Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology Unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa Current and unrestricted state and federal prescribing authority Eligible to work in the United States H-1B waiver available Patient-focused, collaborative, and team-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Benefits Details Competitive salary position Attractive incentive package Comprehensive Total Rewards program Generous time off and CME allowance Malpractice insurance Retirement contributions Dedicated provider resources to support work–life balance Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness, including free third-party loan restructuring support Inclusive culture valuing diversity and provider voice Ongoing professional support and development opportunities Facility Details 24/7 in-house neonatology coverage Team includes 4 neonatologists and 4 nurse practitioners Free-standing Women’s and Children’s Health Center Care for non-surgical infants ≥ 23 weeks’ gestation Regional hub for affiliate institutions throughout northeastern Iowa Advanced clinical services include: - High-frequency ventilation (jet and oscillator) - Inhaled nitric oxide - Therapeutic hypothermia - Specialized neonatal transport services Strong emphasis on: - Evidence-based, multidisciplinary care - Family-centered and developmentally appropriate care Nationally recognized for family-centered care On-site Ronald McDonald Family Room Community: Cedar Rapids, Iowa Cedar Rapids is a vibrant and industrious city known for arts, culture, and economic growth.
