Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine in Richmond, VA

Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, while you enjoy a flexible and rewarding assignment.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology with subspecialty in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Proficiency in procedures such as Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling, and cerclage
- Extensive experience managing high-risk pregnancies, including hypertensive disorders, fetal anomalies, and multiple gestations
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems, preferably EPIC or Viewpoint
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supervising or working alongside NPs, sonographers, and genetic counselors
- Familiarity with high-volume obstetric practices
- Additional training in fetal imaging and advanced diagnostic procedures
- Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in Virginia or ability to obtain temporary licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of maternal fetal medicine experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Prior locum or hospital-based practice experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start by January 8, 2026
- Ability to credential within approximately 90 days
- Willingness to cover varied shifts including clinic hours (8 am - 4:15 pm, Monday through Friday), with nightly weekday call and 24-hour weekend call
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care
- Reimbursement of travel expenses such as flights, hotel accommodations, rental car, or mileage at IRS standard rates
