Locums Neonatology – Roanoke, Virginia
Assignment Overview
- Coverage Type: Per diem locums
- Start: April – Ongoing
- Facility: Children’s Hospital / Regional Perinatal Center
- Coverage Model: In-house coverage only
- Shift Type: 24-hour in-house shifts
- Availability Needed: Nights & Weekends only
- NICU Level: IIIB
- NICU Beds: 60
- Annual Admissions: ~625
- Average Daily Census: ~36
- Annual Deliveries: ~3,100
- Clinical Capabilities:
- High-frequency ventilation
- Nitric oxide
- Specialty Support:
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine (2)
- Pediatric Surgery
- Quality & Research: Member of VA Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative; active in MOC, QI, and research initiatives
Licensure & Credentialing (Hard Requirements)
- License: Active Virginia License – Required
- Board Certification: Neonatology – Required
- Clinical Activity:
- Must be clinically active within the past 1 year
- Must have minimum 6 months Neonatology experience
- Experience: High-acuity NICU experience – Required
