Locum Neonatology Physician needed in Wichita Falls, TX

Neonatologist Opportunity

Seeking a per diem Neonatologist to provide coverage in Wichita Falls, Texas. This opportunity involves caring for newborns in a Level II Special Care Nursery with plans to advance to a Level III NICU, within a community-focused hospital setting.

Dates & Schedule

• Coverage needed:

  • Dec 22–28, 31

  • Jan 1–5, 11–19

  • Feb 1–2, 12–18, 22–23

• All shifts are 24-hour coverage (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.)

• Shifts include rounding plus call from home or hotel

• Coverage available ASAP

Practice Setting & Responsibilities

• Coverage of Level II NICU and newborn nursery

• Care for infants ≥30 weeks gestational age and >1,250 grams

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including pediatricians, nurses, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation services, and neonatal nutritionists

• Provide comprehensive, family-centered care and support for parents during the NICU stay

• Work in a state-of-the-art NICU with access to advanced technology

• Full-service hospital offering emergency, surgical, maternity, pediatric, and specialty care

• Designated Level II Special Care Nursery with ongoing efforts toward Level III NICU status

Requirements

• Board Certified in Neonatology (Board Eligible not accepted)

• Active Texas medical license

• Minimum 6 months of recent specialty experience and clinically active within the past year

• Clean background and malpractice history

• Completion of prescreen questionnaire

• CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained

Certification & Licensure

• Board Certified in Neonatology

• Texas medical license required
