Join UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central as a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician in a pivotal role that combines clinical excellence with flexible scheduling to meet dynamic patient care needs. In this locum position, you’ll provide vital consultative and hospital-based care, supporting high-acuity pregnancies and fetal health diagnostics in a collaborative environment committed to exceptional maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized MFM/Perinatology services, including consults, ultrasounds, and inpatient care.
- Cover UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central and Memorial Hospital North, ensuring seamless patient management.
- Participate in a flexible schedule, including on-call duties (1:3 weekdays, 1:3 / 1:4 weekends).
- Manage daytime miscellaneous duties such as consult coverage, ultrasound procedures, or standby availability, with an expectation of 1-2 weekend shifts per month.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes experienced MFM physicians, midlevels, nurses, genetic counselors, sonographers, and support staff.
- Utilize advanced clinical tools such as Epic EMR, ViewPoint ultrasound reporting, and GE Voluson ultrasound machines.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification or eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Proven experience in high-risk obstetrics and fetal diagnostics.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability to variable daily schedules.
- Ability to work independently within a team environment and handle emergency situations effectively.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in hospital-based MFM or perinatology practice.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR and ultrasound reporting systems.
- Experience supervising or collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in maternal-fetal medicine or a related specialty.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado.
Other Requirements:
- Able to work both at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central and UCHealth Memorial Hospital North.
- Ability to respond to consults and patient needs within 20 minutes.
- Willingness to participate in approximately 1-2 weekend shifts per month, with potential for schedule flexibility.
- Travel reimbursement: flights, lodging, car rental, and mileage provided per policy.
- Visa sponsorship or specific certifications are not required for this locum role.
