Job description

Job description We are seeking an experienced Neonatologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Alabama starting Jan 5, 2026. The position involves approximately 10 shifts per month, each consisting of 24-hour rounding plus call. Candidates must be board certified in Neonatology with recent clinical experience and hold or be eligible for an AL license or IMLC.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a hospital setting
  • Perform 24-hour rounds and be available for call coverage during assigned shifts
  • Manage a range of complex neonatal cases in accordance with current best practices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation as required by the facility
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to neonatal care

Additional Information
  • Board Certification in Neonatology required
  • Minimum of 1-year post-fellowship clinical experience required
  • Must have recent Neonatologist experience within the past 12 months
  • At least 6 months of clinical experience within Neonatology required
  • AL license or IMLC eligibility required
  • Must complete prescreen questionnaire and submit a CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained
