We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatology Physician to provide high-quality inpatient care in a busy NICU in Long Beach, California. This locum tenens role offers flexible in-house shift coverage with weekday and weekend options, allowing providers to balance clinical practice with personal commitments. The ideal candidate will have recent clinical experience and be comfortable managing a full range of neonatal cases.

- Weekday Shifts:
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 9:00 AM
- 24-Hour Shift: Monday–Friday, combining day and night coverage
- Weekend Shifts:
- Friday 3:00 PM – Saturday 9:00 AM
- Saturday 9:00 AM – Sunday 9:00 AM
- Sunday 9:00 AM – Monday 9:00 AM
- Weekday Shifts:
- Coverage: In-house NICU care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care for critically ill and high-risk newborns
- Participate in daily rounds, bedside procedures, and NICU patient management
- Collaborate with neonatology team, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure high-quality care
- Respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
- Accurately document patient care in the hospital EMR
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of neonatal best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Neonatology (Board Eligible not accepted)
- Active California medical license
- Recent NICU clinical experience within the past 12 months
