Position Overview
We are seeking a locum tenens Neonatologist (MD/DO) to provide coverage at in Grand Junction, CO. This is a 6-month assignment supporting neonatal professional services, providing high-quality care in an established clinical environment.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive newborn and neonatal evaluations using history, physical examination, and diagnostic tools.

Diagnose and treat a wide range of neonatal conditions.

Use a patient-centered approach to counsel families, answer questions, and explain care options.

Accurately document care for continuity, quality, compliance, and billing standards.

Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical oversight to the care team.

Consult with colleagues and refer patients when clinically appropriate.

Provide availability for patient visits, phone consults, electronic communication, and on-call duties per facility policy.

Participate in continuous improvement efforts in quality, safety, and patient experience.

Promote the mission, values, and vision of the Hospital.

Perform additional duties as defined by specialty and the physician employment agreement.

Qualifications
Education:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school

Completed residency and specialty training in Neonatology
Licensure & Certifications:

Active medical license for the state of Colorado (or ability to obtain)

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology

DEA license (state-appropriate)
-
BLS or ACLS per facility requirements (hospital: on hire; clinic: within 90 days)
Assignment Details

Duration: 6 months (01/01/2026–07/01/2026)

Schedule: Full-time, Part time

Days: 5 days/week (8-hour days)
