Medical Center in California is looking for a Neonatology Physician.
Orientation – $150 - half the hourly/callback rate, kicks in after 8 hours. “Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours” On Call (Daily) – $3850 - “Per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis" 24 Hour Holiday Call Rate - $5775 - “Per 24 hours to include 8 hours gratis" Call Back – $300 – “Per hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms.” Holiday Call Back – $450 – “Per holiday hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms.”
• Call back (CB is rare. Few occasions where on site for 6-8 hours but is rare) Average worked Callback Hours: 4.7 hours Schedule/Availability Requirements: Orientation business day prior to shift in afternoon January 11-20 (ending 21st am) Will need the 11th-20th (ending 21st am) of every month covered ongoing Round in the NICU at least once per day then cover calls from the nursing staff and come to the hospital based as patient condition requires. NO rounding in nursery - peds hospitalists round in the nursery. Setting: Level III NICU Trauma Level/Designation: - Level II Trauma Center Required Procedures:
1. Ventilatory assistance, to include ETT CPAP.
2. Nasal CPAP for more than 4 hours, NCPAP greater than 6 cm H2O, or FiO2 greater than 0.60.
3. Surfactant administration beyond the initial dose.
4. Administration of cardiac pressors.
5. FiO2 greater than 0.60.
6. PaCO2 greater than 50 on two arterial blood gases 1 hour apart.
7. Peripheral arterial line or central line.
8. Chest tube.
9. Total Parenteral Nutrition Hyperalimentation.
10. Exchange Transfusion.
11. Gestational Age <32 0/7 weeks
12. Birth weight <1600 grams
EMR: Cerner Care B Support Staff: NICU nurses, Family Practice Residents (which the neonatologist supervises/teaches while they are on Nursery rotation). Laborists and Pediatric Hospitalists. No APP support Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage and rebid
Preferred Lodging
Timeframe: 30 days if eligible for temporary/locum tenens privileges
Requirements: (I.e., no license or hospital privilege/membership actions, no significant malpractice history) MUST be on active staff at TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privs (NOT working as a locum) Credentialing with other facilities?
Admissions/Patients per day: NICU patient daily census between 7-12
