Neonatologist Opening – Regional Level IV NICU (Long Beach, California) *Full-time, permanent position – No locums or visa sponsorship* A Regional Level IV NICU in Long Beach, California is seeking a compassionate and skilled Neonatologist to join a collaborative, high-acuity neonatal care team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a prestigious academic environment with strong subspecialty support. About the Position -Work in a Regional Level IV NICU with an average daily census of ~55 and approximately 1,400 admissions annually -Care for critically ill and extremely premature infants, including complex surgical and cardiac cases -Collaborate with MFM specialists, OB Hospitalists, and a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialists -Participate in advanced neonatal services including: * High-frequency ventilation (HFOV/HFJV) * Whole-body cooling * Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy * Neonatal and maternal transport * Palliative care & telemedicine * Specialized Small Baby Unit program -Take part in continuous quality improvement initiatives -Engage in an academic environment with integrated residency/fellowship programs Why This Opportunity -Highly collaborative, supportive team culture — no hierarchy, strong mentorship -Teaching and academic involvement available (affiliated with a major university and children’s hospital) -Strong clinical resources and state-of-the-art NICU environment Candidate Profile -Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine -Experience post-fellowship required -No locums, no visa sponsorship Compensation & Benefits -Base salary typically $240,000–$375,000, plus bonus potential -Comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision benefits -401(k) thrift & profit-sharing plan -HSA and FSA options -Life insurance, critical illness, and disability coverage -Paid parental leave (8 weeks) -Employee Assistance Program & wellness resources -Professional perks and discounted programs
