ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to provide locum in-house shift coverage in the facility's Level IV NICU. This role offers a mix of weekday, weekend, and 24-hour shifts caring for critically ill neonates in a high-acuity setting with an average daily census of 14 patients. The position is ideal for an experienced neonatologist with recent Level IV NICU experience looking for flexible locum opportunities.

8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Day shift)

3:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m. (Night shift)

Friday 3:00 p.m. – Saturday 9:00 a.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. – Sunday 9:00 a.m.

Sunday 9:00 a.m. – Monday 9:00 a.m.

Job Details / Responsibilities
-
Provide in-house coverage for a Level IV NICU with an average daily census of 14 babies.

Deliver comprehensive care for critically ill and premature neonates.

Participate in delivery attendance, admissions, daily rounds, and ongoing patient management.

Perform intubations and neonatal resuscitations (no NPs or PAs on staff).

No ECMO responsibilities required.

May need to complete a moderate sedation exam if interested in performing related procedures.

Collaborate with hospital teams and ensure compliance with Pediatrix Medical Group and Long Beach Memorial protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certified in Neonatology – Required

Active California medical license – Required

Recent NICU experience (within past 12 months) – Required

Experience in a Level IV NICU – Required

CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained – Required

ECMO certification – Not required
State License Requirement: California
