Neonatologist Job Details
- Location: Long Beach, CA
- Healthcare Setting: Level IV NICU
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- End Date: February 16, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Hours: 36
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts; options include weekday day shifts (8am-4pm), weekday night shifts (3pm-9am), 24-hour weekday shifts, and weekend coverage (Friday 3pm - Monday 9am in blocks)
Neonatologist Qualifications
- Board Certified in Neonatology (required for all neonatologist jobs)
- Active California medical license (required for California healthcare jobs)
- Recent experience managing a Level IV NICU caseload within the past 12 months (required)
- Minimum 1 year of neonatology experience in a clinical setting
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver in-house coverage for a Level IV NICU, managing critically ill neonates
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive neonatal care
- Participate in a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, and weekends as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
- Support families and provide education regarding neonatal conditions and advanced treatments
