Perm Role: Neonatologist Opportunity in Wichita, KS – 60-Bed Level III NICU + Academic Affiliation

This is a rare full-time opportunity to practice in a 60-bed Level III NICU with strong academic ties, extensive QI initiatives, and a balanced shift model. 🍼 Position Highlights:

• Position: Full-time Neonatologist (BC/BE)

• NICU Level: Level III – 60 beds

• Facility Volume:

  • ~6,000 annual deliveries

  • ~1,000 NICU admissions/year

  • Average daily census ~54

• Shift Model:

  • Mix of 8-hour and 24-hour in-house shifts

  • ~170 hrs/month on 7-week rotation (1.0 FTE)

  • In-house call with backup from home

• Team:

  • 8 Neonatologists

  • Support from NPs and pediatric residents
    

• Services Offered:

  • Full scope NICU care (excluding ECMO and cardiac surgery)

  • Extensive Quality Improvement and research opportunities

• Visa Support: J1 and H1B visa candidates welcome

🎓 Ideal Candidate:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

• Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

• Kansas license or Willingness to obtain

• DEA – Must be obtained prior to start

• Clean malpractice and license history – Highly Preferred

• Open to new fellows already BC in Pediatrics
