- A permanent, full-time opportunity for a Physician Assistant with fellowship training in Neonatology.
- The role involves providing advanced care for neonates in both Level III and Level II NICUs across two Michigan locations.
- This position offers a collaborative environment with multidisciplinary teams, robust benefits, and opportunities for professional development.
Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists in multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring of junior providers and trainees.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and research activities.
• Support community health programs related to neonatal care.
• Maintain current licensure, board certification, and required credentials.
Qualifications
• Fellowship training in Neonatology – Required
• Active Michigan License – Required
• Active DEA – Required
• Current ACLS & BLS (through AHA) – Required
• Relevant neonatal clinical experience – Highly Preferred
Working Hours
• 15 weekday shifts annually of 8 hours each (Grand Rapids NICU).
• Varied schedule including weekends.
• No call requirements for APPs.
Skills
• Strong procedural and critical care skills in neonatology.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Teaching and mentoring junior providers.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and digital health tools.
