Job description

Job description Seeking additional Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologists to join a leading children’s hospital in Las Vegas, NV. The program offers advanced neonatal services with a large Level-III NICU, academic affiliation, and opportunities for resident teaching. Physicians will work in a collaborative, team-oriented practice dedicated to providing the highest quality care to newborns and their families.

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care in a 72-bed, Level-III NICU with an ADC of 60.
Manage complex neonatal cases, including ECMO, iNO, high-frequency ventilation, and total body cooling.
Participate in a neonatal transport program and dedicated resuscitation team.
Collaborate with intensivists, pediatric subspecialists, hospitalists, and pediatric ER physicians.
Support surgical and cardiovascular programs, including high-volume ELBW cases.
Contribute to academic and teaching opportunities for residents.
Adhere to practice guidelines to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Pediatrics – Required.
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine – Required.
Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (completed before start) – Required.
Nevada Medical License (or ability to obtain) – Required.
DEA & CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start) – Required, no exemptions.
Visa candidates considered (J1/H1B).
Clean malpractice and licensing history preferred.

Working Hours

12-hour in-house shifts; 15 shifts per month for full-time status. Includes weekend and on-call responsibilities.

Skills

Expertise in neonatal intensive care and advanced life support interventions.
Proficiency in ECMO, iNO therapy, and high-frequency ventilation.
Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary pediatric teams.
Ability to teach and mentor residents/fellows in an academic setting.
