A rewarding opportunity for a Board-Certified Neonatologist to join a collaborative and expanding practice in a 6-bed Level II nursery setting. Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, this position offers flexible scheduling, a strong support team, and a chance to deliver high-quality, family-centered neonatal care.
Job Responsibilities
• Work in partnership with pediatric hospitalists for nursery coverage
• Participate in clinical research and CQI initiatives
• Collaborate with a large national network of neonatologists
• Rotate through 24-hour shifts with flexible block scheduling
• Out-of-house call coverage (low intensity)
Qualifications
• Virginia Medical License (or willingness to obtain) – Required
• DEA License (must be obtained prior to start) – Required
• Clean malpractice and license history – Preferred
Working Hours
• Includes weekends and nights as part of regular coverage
Skills
• Ability to handle emergency neonatal interventions
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Familiarity with clinical protocols and research participation
