We are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatologist to join a dynamic team of 4 Neonatologists and 3 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in a busy Level-IV NICU setting. The position offers 24/7 in-house coverage, academic teaching opportunities, and the chance to provide advanced neonatal care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Attend deliveries and oversee care for NICU and newborn nursery patients.
• Collaborate with NNPs covering 12-hour shifts in the newborn nursery.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents as part of an academic partnership.
• Work closely with pediatric subspecialists across more than 30 specialties.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and family-centered care practices.
• Optional coverage at a nearby Level-II NICU.
Qualifications
• West Virginia medical license (or willingness to obtain) – REQUIRED
• DEA (must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions) – REQUIRED
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a busy Level-III/IV NICU – PREFERRED
• Open to new graduates and J1 Visa candidates – ACCEPTED
• Not accepting Locum Tenens candidates – REQUIRED
