An exciting opportunity for a Medical Director – Neonatology to lead and provide advanced neonatal care in a Level III NICU in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Roanoke, Virginia! This permanent role offers leadership, teaching, and the chance to impact lives at a top regional perinatal center.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide expert neonatal care, including advanced therapies (HFV, cooling, nitric oxide)
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, surgeons & maternal-fetal medicine teams
• Mentor and train residents & medical students
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives & research projects
• Cover day shifts, weekend rotations & on-call duties
Qualifications
• Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain) – Required
• DEA (must be obtained before start)
• Clean malpractice & license history preferred
• J-1 visa sponsorship available
Working Hours
• Varied shifts with weekend & on-call rotation
Skills
• Advanced neonatal critical care experience
• Excellent communication & team collaboration
