Locum Tenens Neonatologist – Level II+ NICU

Seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist for a locum tenens position to provide 24-hour coverage at our Level II+ NICU. Join a collaborative, supportive team providing high-quality neonatal care in a well-resourced setting.

📅 Dates of Coverage

Block 1: Monday, July 21, 8 AM – Friday, August 1, 8 AM

• ON: July 21–22 (Mon–Tue), July 25–27 (Fri–Sun), July 30–31 (Wed–Thu)

• OFF: July 23–24, July 28–29

Block 2: Monday, August 25, 8 AM – Friday, September 5, 8 AM

• ON: Aug 25–26 (Mon–Tue), Aug 29–31 (Fri–Sun), Sept 3–4 (Wed–Thu)

• OFF: Aug 27–28, Sept 1–2

Shifts:

• 24-hour coverage: 8 AM–6 PM on-site, overnight call from home

• 7 total shifts spread across each 1.5-week block

🏥 Facility & Practice Details

• NICU Level: Level II+

• Beds: 15-bed NICU with an average daily census (ADC) of 4.5

• Mother-Baby Unit ADC: ~11 (Assist with rounding based on census)

• EMR: Cerner

• Delivery Attendance: On request

• Supervision: No supervisory duties required

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified in Neonatology – Required

• Active NY State Medical License – Required

• Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS – Required
