Neonatologist Locum Tenens Job | Tampa, Florida | Level III NICU | In-House Call | Long-Term Coverage
We are currently seeking two Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologists for locum tenens coverage in Tampa, Florida. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team in a 30+ bed Level III NICU with 24/7 APRN support. Please note: NNPs are not a substitute—we are looking specifically for MD/DO Neonatologists.
Position Highlights:
--30+ bed Level III NICU with an Average Daily Census of 15–25
--24-hour in-house call model with 24/7 APRN coverage
--No well-baby nursery coverage required
--75 calls/year per provider expected
--Long credentialing timeline: 5–6 months, - ideal September start date
Provider Profile:
We are looking for two Neonatologists:
1. Urgent need: One experienced, mid-career physician who is strong clinically, skilled in all procedures, and ideally has some Level IV NICU experience
2. Second provider may be a recent fellowship graduate with strong fundamentals and eagerness to learn
