Neonatologist Opportunity - Des Moines, Iowa Position Details

  • Join a dedicated team of 7 board-certified Neonatologists and 13 experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
  • Supported by comprehensive ancillary services: pediatric pharmacists, dieticians, OT/PT/speech therapists, social workers, lactation consultants, and case managers
  • Full pediatric subspecialty coverage including cardiology, surgery, GI, pulmonology, endocrinology, hematology, genetics, ophthalmology, and ENT
  • Level III-B NICU with 44 beds, featuring private rooms and a few double rooms for multiples
  • Annual admissions range between 950 1,050 with 4,500 5,500 births annually
  • NICU services include non-invasive, conventional, Jet and Oscillatory ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and total body cooling
  • Care for critically ill infants born onsite or transferred in, including extremely preterm infants (>22 weeks GA) and those with complex medical/surgical needs
