We are seeking a Board Certified Neonatologist for locum tenens coverage at an acute care hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Please see full job details below.
Job Responsibilities
• End Date: 8/31/2025 (potential to extend)
• Level III NICU with 3500 deliveries/year
• No call required
• Coverage: 20–30 shifts/month total between two locations
• Shifts: 24-hour preferred (will consider 12-hour)
• Census: 22–24 patients
• Rounding, attending deliveries, and managing Level 3 NICU patients
Qualifications
• Maryland license required (IMLC accepted)
• DEA and CDS required
• NRP certification required
• Recent Level III NICU experience within the past 3 years
Working Hours
• Night shifts: 7p–7a
• 20–30 shifts/month between two sites
Skills
• Simple procedures only (e.g., hernia repair)
• EMR: Cerner
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume NICU settings
• Interview with Chief of Regional Based Specialties + 2 references required
