Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based neonatal clinical care in a collaborative team environment.
- Supervise and coordinate care with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) who deliver 24-hour in-house coverage, including high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports.
- Attend and assess critically-ill newborns in the Level III NICU, offering expert input on complex cases.
- Manage a wide range of neonatal conditions utilizing conventional ventilation and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV).
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and consults, supporting comprehensive perinatal services including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM).
- Foster ongoing quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives within the department.
Facilities & Support:
- 20-bed Level III NICU serving approximately 1,500 deliveries annually, with a daily NICU census of 13-15 patients.
- Nearly 300 NICU admissions per year, including transports from regional referring hospitals.
- Access to excellent nursing staff and multiple pediatric subspecialists for consults and in-house support.
- Convenient proximity to suburban amenities in Corning (20 minutes away) and academic opportunities at Cornell University (45 minutes away).
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neonatology or Board Eligible with fellowship completion prior to start.
- VMS certification required.
- Strong team-oriented clinician dedicated to delivering exemplary neonatal care.
- Candidate must not require visa sponsorship or be seeking locum tenens positions.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply; fellowship completion is required before employment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $250,000 – $325,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
