Med Ninjas is seeking a Neonatology Physician for Permanent coverage at a inpatient facility located in Savannah, GA
This assignment includes Inpatient, onsite hospital coverage, Level IV NICU, high-acuity neonatal care, and on call weekend.
Permanent Neonatology Physician
Shift: 24/7 in-house Neonatology coverage with rotating day and night clinical shifts
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details: Full-time position providing specialized neonatal intensive care in a 92-bed Level IV NICU at a major regional referral center
Patient Population: Critically ill and premature newborns
Setting: Level IV NICU
Responsibilities: Provide specialized neonatal intensive care, manage high-acuity neonatal cases, participate in 24/7 in-house coverage, conduct rounding, collaborate with neonatologists, NNPs and pediatric subspecialists, support resident rotations, and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Required Procedures: Advanced neonatal intensive care procedures and management of high-acuity neonatal cases
EMR System:
Support Staff: 9 neonatologists, 8 experienced NNPs, pediatric subspecialists, and resident physicians
Days Per Month: Rotating 24/7 in-house coverage schedule
On-Call/Weekends: Rotating weekend coverage as part of the ongoing 24/7 NICU service schedule; structured call system
High-Acuity Neonatal Intensive Care, Level IV NICU and Advanced Neonatal Services
Requirements
- TRULY Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Active GA License or willingness to obtain
- Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
- Neonatology experience required; experienced candidates only
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days active
