Millennium Medical Group is seeking a Neonatologist to join our growing practice at Lake Charles Regional Medical Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Opportunity Highlights

This position is based in a 12-bed Level III NICU with a collaborative two-neonatologist care model and 24/7 in-house coverage supported by NNPs. Providers benefit from strong interdisciplinary support and resources, fostering a team-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality neonatal care.

Responsibilities

The Neonatologist will provide comprehensive medical care to newborns in the Level III NICU, including premature and critically ill infants. Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries and performing neonatal resuscitation as indicated, diagnosing and managing a broad range of neonatal conditions, and performing neonatal procedures within scope of practice. The provider will collaborate closely with NNPs, pediatricians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team, communicate effectively with families regarding clinical status and treatment plans, maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, and participate in shared call coverage and team-based responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and demonstrate strong clinical expertise in NICU care. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment, possess excellent communication and leadership skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based neonatal medicine.
