Join our dedicated Neonatal Perinatal team as a locum tenens provider in a Level 4 NICU setting. We are seeking one to two providers to cover a minimum of seven 24-hour shifts per month. This exciting opportunity offers in-house shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 AM, with access to an onsite call room. The start date is slated for June. You will work alongside a nurse practitioner available during the day and on-call at night, providing comprehensive care to our neonatal patients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete rounds on patients and create detailed care plans via Epic documentation
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and perform necessary procedures
  • Conduct perinatal consultations
  • Manage ventilation and perform diagnostic/therapeutic taps
  • Engage in rare, limited shadowing opportunities with medical students or residents

Qualifications

  • Active TX License and DEA
  • Board Certification in Neonatology
  • NRP certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred

Working Hours

  • Night shifts, 5:00 AM – 5:00 AM, minimum of 7 shifts per month

Skills

  • Required expertise in neonatal ventilation management, including invasive and non-invasive techniques
  • Competence in performing chest tube insertions, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and circumcisions
  • Ability to attend and manage high-risk C-sections and acute neonatal care issues
