Commitment: Minimum 7 shifts per month

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatal–Perinatal Medicine Physician to provide inpatient locum tenens coverage at a Level IV NICU in Texas, starting June 2026. This is a long-term opportunity with consistent scheduling and strong advanced practice provider support.
The role is fully inpatient and procedure-focused, with no outpatient responsibilities. Providers will work in-house 24-hour shifts and play a key role in high-acuity neonatal care, including high-risk deliveries and perinatal consults.

Responsibilities:
- NICU patient rounding and care management
- Developing and documenting plans of care in Epic
- Attending high-risk and routine C-sections
- Performing neonatal procedures
- Providing perinatal and neonatal consults
- Collaborating closely with NPs and nursing staff
Requirements:
- MD/DO
- Board Certified in Neonatal–Perinatal Medicine
- Active Texas medical license required
- Active DEA
- NRP certification required
- Preferred: 5+ years of NICU experience
Practice Environment:
- Level IV NICU with high-acuity case mix
- In-house call with onsite call room available
- NP onsite during the day and NP on call overnight
- No outpatient clinic responsibilities
- No required teaching or resident supervision
- CV surgery cases referred out
- Strong multidisciplinary support staff
