Job Title: Permanent Physician - Neonatology

Join a vibrant and affordable city in Topeka, Kansas, as a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist. You will be part of a dedicated team of 5 physicians and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) providing comprehensive care in a Level-III, 36-bed NICU. This facility offers excellent subspecialty support and advanced neonatal services, making it an ideal location for both professional growth and personal satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of neonatal intensive care services in a Level-III NICU with 36 beds and an average daily census of 26 patients.
  • Manage advanced neonatal therapies including High Frequency Ventilation, Inhaled Nitric Oxide, Total Body Cooling, and amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG).
  • Collaborate with subspecialty support teams including Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, and Endocrinology.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including 5 neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs).
  • Participate in patient care coverage including potential call and weekend duties as per department policy.
  • Engage with a community and hospital environment offering excellent quality of life and professional opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Open to Board Eligible and Board Certified candidates in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Clean malpractice and license history is highly preferred.
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within the last 30 days active) is required at presentation.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • BC/BE Neonatologist, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine certification or eligibility.
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA must be obtained prior to start.
  • Visa sponsorship available; J1 visa eligible applicants are welcome.
