Join a Dedicated Neonatology Team in Topeka, KS!

We are seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join our amazing team of 5 physicians and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at a Level-III, 36-bed NICU in Topeka, Kansas. This city is known for its vibrant atmosphere, affordability, and proximity to major university towns, providing excellent subspecialty support and advanced neonatal services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care services in a Level-III NICU with 36 beds and an average daily census of 26 patients.
  • Manage advanced neonatal therapies such as High Frequency Ventilation, Inhaled Nitric Oxide, Total Body Cooling, and amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG).
  • Collaborate with subspecialty support teams including Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, and Endocrinology.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including 5 neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs).
  • Participate in patient care coverage including potential call and weekend duties as per department policy.
  • Engage with a community and hospital environment that offers excellent quality of life and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Open to Board Eligible (BE) and Board Certified (BC) candidates in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Must have a clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
  • Willingness to obtain a Kansas license if not already licensed in the state.
  • Candidates requiring visa support (J1 Visa) are welcome to apply.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • BC/BE in Neonatology and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine certification or eligibility.
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA must be obtained prior to start.
