Permanent Position for Neonatologist in Richmond, VA

This state-of-the-art facility emphasizes excellence in neonatal care in a supportive, family-centered environment. You will be part of a highly collaborative group dedicated to improving the health outcomes of our tiniest patients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU.
• Collaborate with a dedicated group of Neonatologists for continuous 24/7 in-house coverage.
• Utilize advanced therapies such as HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia.
• Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergencies.
• Deliver care in a single-family room NICU model prioritizing family-centered approaches.
• Focus exclusively on NICU patients with no requirement to cover the newborn nursery.
• Participate in quality improvement and collaborative clinical research supported by the medical group.
• Contribute to a culture that values innovation, education, and supportive family engagement.

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Board Certified in Pediatrics.
• Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
• We highly prefer a clean malpractice and license history.
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Medical license to practice in Virginia (or willingness to obtain).
• Board Certified (BC) Pediatrics.
• Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in Neonatology.
