Job Title: Neonatologist - Richmond, VA

Join a dedicated team at Richmond’s largest delivery center!
Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, featuring a Level III NICU, seeks a compassionate, Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to be part of a highly collaborative and innovative team. Experience working in a state-of-the-art single-family room NICU environment and provide excellent neonatal care with 24/7 in-house coverage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of Neonatologists offering continuous 24/7 in-house coverage.
  • Utilize advanced therapies, including High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide.
  • Work closely with on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists for comprehensive care.
  • Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for patient transfers and emergencies.
  • Deliver care focused on family-centered principles in a single-family room NICU model.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, safety initiatives, and clinical research supported by Pediatrix Medical Group.
  • Embrace a team culture that values innovation and compassionate family support.
  • Not accepting Locums or visa candidates.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
  • No prior direct applications to the position.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Board Certified and Board Eligible in Neonatology and Pediatrics.
  • Medical license to practice in Virginia or willingness to obtain.
  • Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
