Job Opportunity: Physician - Neonatology in Long Beach, CA
Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital in sunny Long Beach, California, is seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time BC/BE Neonatologist to join their prestigious Regional Level IV NICU team, offering advanced neonatal care in a collaborative and supportive environment affiliated with the University of California Irvine and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care to critically ill neonates in a Regional Level IV NICU with an average daily census of 55 patients and ~1,400 admissions annually.
- Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, Obstetric Hospitalists, and various pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists.
- Participate in advanced neonatal services such as maternal and neonatal transport, whole-body cooling, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy, palliative care, telemedicine, and a specialized Small Baby Unit.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Contribute to and benefit from an academic environment with integrated residency and fellowship programs.

- This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area; relocation may be required.
- Not accepting Locums candidates, and providers currently in fellowship are not eligible.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Must have post-fellowship experience as a Neonatologist.
- California Medical License or ability to obtain one.
- Clean malpractice and medical license history is highly preferred.
- Must provide most recent NPDB Self Query Report (active within 30 days).
- Must indicate residency status in the area and whether relocation is required.
- DEA must be obtained prior to start.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- California Medical License (required).
- DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
