Job description
A well-respected health system in Southern California is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist to join its collaborative and compassionate NICU team. This opportunity is based in a Community Level III NICU that provides 24/7 in-house coverage and partners with a strong perinatology program. With roughly 2,000 deliveries annually and an average NICU census of five, this position offers the best of both high-acuity care and lifestyle balance in a coastal setting.
Job Responsibilities
Manage newborns from over 2,000 annual deliveries
Collaborate with perinatologists and a multidisciplinary care team
Support family-centered care and communicate effectively with parents and staff
Participate in quality improvement initiatives through the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative
Ensure rapid and appropriate response to neonatal emergencies and needs
Maintain high standards of clinical care and patient safety
Qualifications
Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine subspecialty certification preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to excellence in community-based neonatal care
Eligible to work in the United States
Working Hours
24/7 in-house clinical coverage rotation (shared among team)
Flexible scheduling in a collegial group practice
