Neonatologist - Torrance, CA
Join a dedicated team at a well-established 32-bed Level III community NICU located in Torrance, California. This facility, known for its excellent pediatric subspecialty support, offers a supportive work/life balance in the scenic South Bay region of Los Angeles County.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care in a 32-bed community Level III NICU with an average daily census of 12 newborns.
- Collaborate with pediatric subspecialty teams, including surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology (GI), and ENT, to manage complex neonatal cases.
- Participate in the newborn service, including direct patient care and family counseling.
- Support the hospital's role as a California Children's Services (CCS) designated facility and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Work within a collegial team environment fostering a positive work/life balance.
- Engage with hospital staff and administration to maintain and improve neonatal care standards.
Qualifications
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- California Medical License or ability to obtain.
- Experience post-fellowship.
- Clean malpractice and medical license history (highly preferred).
- Willingness to provide 24/7 in-house coverage.
- Ability to live in or relocate to the immediate local area.
- DEA certification required prior to start.
License and Certification Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine: Required
- California Medical License: Required
- Clean malpractice and medical license history: Highly Preferred
- DEA: Required prior to start
