Permanent Medical Director - Neonatology Opportunity in Carrollton, GA

Join a dynamic healthcare team at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia! We are seeking an experienced and dedicated neonatologist medical director to lead our Level-III NICU, which handles approximately 1,000 annual births. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-trained, team-oriented individual committed to providing exceptional care for our smallest patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of the practice while collaborating closely with hospital administration and the regional management team.
  • Cover our growing 10-bed NICU practice.
  • Mentor and provide growth opportunities for other physicians; engage in leadership roles within the hospital and community.
  • Work within a full-time position with a schedule of one week on and one week off.
  • Rounding with call from home.
  • Ensure full-time NNP coverage is in place.
  • Participate in the healthcare system recognized as a “Top 15 Health System” by Truven Health Analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required).
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Required).
  • Georgia medical license (or willing to obtain) (Required).
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) (Required).
  • Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, to be completed prior to start (Required).
  • Clean malpractice and license history (Highly Preferred).
  • Must note if visa support is required (J1 or H1B) (Required).
  • DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start) (Required).

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Active Georgia medical license (or willing to obtain).
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report.
  • Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start).
