Job Opportunity: Neonatologist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join a dedicated team of five physicians at a leading healthcare facility in Topeka, Kansas. This position offers an incredible opportunity to practice in a community known for its affordable cost of living and vibrant local culture. The facility is equipped with a Level-III, 36-bed NICU, providing a full range of specialized services including high-frequency ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available.
  • Combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule (approximately 170 hours per month of in-house coverage).
  • Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
  • Join a collaborative team providing services to an average daily census of 26 patients.
  • Utilize a comprehensive range of neonatal services including total body cooling and aEEG.
  • Manage approximately 500 admissions annually with an average length of stay of 19 days.
  • Access to pediatric subspecialty support in areas such as Cardiology and Neurology.
  • Opportunity for new Fellow graduate candidates who are board-certified in Pediatrics.
  • Visa support is available for J1 & H1B candidates.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics (required).
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (required).
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
  • Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
  • DEA must be obtained prior to start.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start).
  • Must have no pending malpractice claims.
