Neonatologist Position in Beautiful Elmira, NY

Pediatrix Medical Group is looking for a Board Certified Neonatologist to join our dedicated team at a leading medical center in the picturesque city of Elmira, New York. This facility is situated in the stunning Finger Lakes Region, renowned for its wineries and waterfalls, making it an ideal location for both personal and professional growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care in a Level III NICU environment.
• Work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team, following evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Participate in block scheduling, with the option to reside outside of the area.
• Manage 24-hour in-house coverage, including attending high-risk deliveries.
• Oversee critically ill newborns and conduct assessments in the NICU.
• Utilize excellent nursing support along with pediatric sub-specialty consultations.
• Engage with approximately 1,500 annual deliveries, with a daily NICU census between 13-15 infants.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• NY state medical license (or willingness to obtain one).
• Ability to work in a collaborative and demanding environment.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

• Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• DEA license must be obtained prior to starting position.
• No visa support available; candidates must not require J1 or H1B visa sponsorship.
