Job Opportunity: Neonatologist in Macon, GA
Join a leading practice in the vibrant city of Macon, Georgia!
We are seeking an additional Neonatologist to enhance our outstanding team of Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at our prestigious facility. Our new Children's Hospital, which opened in 2019, features a Level-III NICU and is recognized as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of neonatal care in central and south Georgia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care in a 66-bed Level-III NICU.
- Engage in daily rounding with on-call responsibilities from home every other night.
- Administer advanced services including high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, and brain cooling.
- Collaborate with subspecialty teams for comprehensive patient management.
- Supervise and work alongside experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners.
- Participate in clinical appointments with Mercer Medical School.
- Commit to continued education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Georgia medical license (or willingness to obtain).
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
- No visa sponsorship available for candidates requiring it.
- DEA license (must be obtained prior to start).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Valid Georgia medical license.
- DEA license required before starting.
