Join Our Exceptional Neonatology Team in Macon, GA!

We are seeking an additional Neonatologist to join our outstanding group of Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in Macon, Georgia. Our facility features a state-of-the-art Level-III NICU and has earned recognition as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence since its opening in 2019.

The Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital is the only dedicated pediatric hospital in central and south Georgia, providing comprehensive services tailored to neonatology. The hospital boasts a 66-bed NICU, with advanced treatment options and exceptional subspecialty support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily rounding and provide high-quality care to neonates.
  • Manage on-call duties from home every other night, with a schedule of one week on, one week off.
  • Utilize advanced services including high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy.
  • Provide clinical education and support to residents and students at Mercer Medical School.
  • Collaborate with experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners for optimal patient care.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance care strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (required).
  • GA medical license or willingness to obtain (required).
  • Valid DEA registration prior to starting (required).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in patient care.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Board Eligible (if within 5 years of eligibility).
  • Georgia State Medical License.
  • DEA registration must be obtained prior to employment.
