Exciting Opportunity for a Neonatologist in Charleston, WV!
Join our dedicated NICU team of 4 Neonatologists and 3 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at a premier medical facility located in beautiful Charleston, WV. This facility features a Level-IV, 30-bed NICU that sees approximately 3,000 births annually, providing a supportive environment for both professional growth and patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care in a Level-IV, 30-bed NICU with an average daily census of 24.
- Participate in around 3,000 annual births, including about 470 NICU and 1,226 newborn nursery admissions.
- Deliver 24/7 in-house coverage, supported by Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in the newborn nursery.
- Attendance at deliveries is required, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with medical students and residents from partner medical schools.
- Collaborate with over 30 pediatric sub-specialists for consultative services.
- Possibility to cover at a nearby Level-II NICU.
- Please note; ideal candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in a busy Level-III/IV NICU.

Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level-III/IV NICU is preferred.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to teaching and mentorship.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current West Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
